I saved a ton with coupons!

We go on a major grocery shop (buying lots of non-perishable staples) every few months. I try to save up coupons, so I can get a good discount. We shopped at Target yesterday and I saved over $200! Our Target does not double or triple coupons, either.

As you can imagine, I had a STACK of coupons. If looks could kill, the lady behind me in line would have killed me for sure. At least 1/3 of the coupons were from Snazzywin (either coupons that I had won, printed from the freebies page,  or coupons that came with the free samples.) About 2/3 of the coupons were from the newspaper. As I watched my total continue to plummet, I felt clever and actually felt bad for the woman behind me in line because I could tell she had no coupons. She’s losing money on every shop!

I know that a lot of people here use coupons. How much do you typically save with coupons? Know of any hot tips for acquiring and using coupons?  Please share.

Got My Free Canteen

Just received my free gift from the Marlboro promotion. As you can see, I chose the canteen.  It’s pretty nice! I’m always amazed that they never put their name or brand logos on the free stuff they offer.  My husband, Jim, chose the hot sauce, but we haven’t received that yet.
