Game administrators can and will disqualify if they even smell the hint of cheating. They have programs that look for suspicious behavior coming from the same computer or IP address. Most people who are disqualified are never told so unless they contact the Administrator asking about their prize or if they keep attempting to enter, the Administrator can simply ban that user/computer/ip-address from entering. Those prizes are often put into a drawing after the conclusion of the game using the pool of entrants from the game who were not disqualified. I think this explains why some people receive prizes from a game in which they never won – they were probably drawn as winners at the conclusion of the game due to people being disqualified.

That many entrants increases the likelihood of a disqualification, but it’s really up to them to decide. As far as affidavits, these companies generally send an affidavit for prizes valued at $600 or more, but there are exceptions. Just remember, they may disqualify for any reason – do not give them a reason. Enter for yourself and only for yourself.
