We’re being copied…
We’ve been informed that another site ( a free stuff site) is attempting to copy our website. I visited and sure enough, the site is adding instant win games and now a weekly photo that looks eerily similar to our monthly photo. It could be a coincidence, but it seems weird. That site is years old and just now adopting everything from our site. We’re only 4 mos. old, so we find it interesting all of their changes have happened in this small amount of time and the fact that their changes make their site much more similar to ours. We don’t want anyone assuming in the future that we lifted our layout from that site.
We do believe that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. We understand exactly why they would alter their website in these ways, but please be sure not to let any new visitors to Snazzywin claim that we changed our design to be like theirs because we were doing it long before them.
In the end, we are not primarily a freebies website. We are primarily an instant win games website. That’s the only reason this website was created. We love to play instant win games and could not find a reliable, easy site to play them on. That’s the entire reason for the existence of Snazzywin.com and the free stuff was added by popular demand (on the part of my parents) FYI: I won a bag of COMBOS today! Woo-hoo!
Keep in mind that your site is good enought TO BE copied
I have had sites up for over ten years now…and sure enough there is always SOMEONE out there stealing, not my site look, but content….I focus on freebies, sweeps, food, family…you name it….I sign up for far too many email lists and a freebie I spent forever to find makes its way through the web faster then water from a spout…so dont let it bother you, copywrite means nothing anymore I suppose.
